Aahar, NIS to fuel food, nutra sectors’ growth

The two mega events, Aahar 2015 and the 10th Nutra India Summit (NIS), being held in March 2015 will help in the unbridled growth of the food and nutraceutical sectors in India.
The 30th edition of Aahar will be the biggest so far wherein businessmen from food and hospitality sectors will come together on a single platform. It offers a unique platform for facilitating growth and modernisation in the processed food and hospitality sectors. According to organisers, this time the focus will be on Make in India.
Aahar 2015, the largest fair in the food & hospitality sectors in India being held from March 10-14 in New Delhi, will be having two separate but concurrent exhibitions i.e. “Hospitality India” covering hotel & restaurant equipment and supplies and “Food India” covering foods, processed foods & beverages.
The event will help the Indian industry players to get acquainted with the latest trends in the food and hospitality sectors the world over. Around 800 companies and 22 countries will be participating with the addition of six new countries this time.
Around 300 chefs from hotels and restaurants across north India will participate in the Culinary Art India 2015 event of Indian Culinary Forum (ICF) organised in partnership with India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO). Renowned chefs from across India and abroad will be participating as guests and juries.
Like the previous year, wine will also be part of the event with many countries bringing in their wines. There will be wine tasting sessions along with culinary competitions in this event.
Though Aahar earlier used to be just a food show, since 1982, it had significant growth to include the hospitality sector as well. The number of participants has immensely increased over the last few years and the fair now sees participants and visitors from all over the world.
At the same time, since last 10 years, NIS, the most authoritative congregation of nutrition, nutraceuticals, dietary supplements, functional foods and health foods industry in India, has been catalysing the growth of the flourishing nutraceutical industry in India.
With its more than a decade of contribution towards development of building blocks of nutraceuticals business, the event will be celebrating its 10th edition from March 18 to 19 in Mumbai.
The highlights of the 10th NIS will be International Conference, NuFFoods Expo, Highlight Talks, Nutra Excellence Awards, Doctors & Nutritionists Forum and the Poster Session 'Walkway of Discovery.'
The NuFFoods Expo will witness participants from the best of private sector companies, R&D institutions from India and abroad and over 3,000 business visitors.
The NuFFoods Expo is the product & ingredients expo which gives tremendous opportunity for the nutra industry to showcase its offerings of a varied range of innovative products, ingredients & raw materials, processing & packaging technologies and machinery & equipment for the nutraceuticals sector in India.
In the International Conference, participants can learn from eminent researchers, business gurus and policy-makers from the sector.
The Doctors and Nutritionists Forum gives an opportunity to influence the influencers, to gain mileage and share benefits of brands amongst top practitioners in nutrition science.
While the Poster Session presents an opportunity to researchers and students of nutraceutical science to showcase their innovative ideas, the CEO Summit offers three days of power-packed business networking and market strategic partnerships.
NIS will also be acknowledging eminent personalities who have contributed towards this sector with their untiring efforts by felicitating them with lifetime achievement awards.
