The Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR) has issued a circular extending the deadline for filing questionnaire responses in the ongoing antidumping investigation concerning imports of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) from China PR and Russia.
The revised deadline for submitting responses is now January 10, 2025.
Initially, the deadline for submitting responses was set for 30 days from the issuance of a Circular on December 4, 2024. However, following requests from several interested parties seeking additional time to prepare their submissions, the deadline has been extended.
“This move aims to facilitate comprehensive participation and ensure that all stakeholders have adequate time to provide their inputs for the investigation,” said Shivam Singh, deputy director, DGTR.
The DGTR had in November this year issued an updated list of interested parties involved in the ongoing anti-dumping investigation.
In a communication to all concerned stakeholders, the DGTR had informed that the list of registered parties, who had previously expressed interest in the investigation, has been officially published. This follows the initiation of the investigation through a notification.
The list, which has been provided in the Trade Notice, details entities involved in the investigation. These include domestic producers, exporters, importers, users, and relevant associations. The DGTR had also requested all listed parties to submit non-confidential versions (NCVs) of their previously filed documents, and any future submissions, to other interested parties.
The list includes a range of parties including Gujarat Fluorochemicals Ltd. which represents the domestic industry and other stakeholders representing various facets of the PTFE market, including domestic producers, overseas exporters, and users within India.
According to the DGTR, “The submissions must be sent via email to the designated addresses, which include both the DGTR and investigation team’s official contacts. All parties listed must email the NCVs of their submissions to other interested parties. If any party finds discrepancies in the list—such as their details being missing or incorrectly listed—they are requested to inform the DGTR immediately so that necessary updates can be made to ensure the process is fair and inclusive.”
The DGTR has emphasized that this exchange of NCV submissions is vital towards maintaining transparency and ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and able to participate effectively in the investigation process.
