The Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR), under the Union ministry of commerce & industry, has issued an updated list of interested parties involved in the ongoing anti-dumping investigation concerning imports of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) originating in or exported from China and Russia.
PTFE, commonly known as Teflon, is widely used in industries like pharmaceuticals and chemicals due to its unique properties including chemical inertness, electrical insulation, and low friction.
In a communication to all concerned stakeholders, the DGTR informed that the list of registered parties, who had previously expressed interest in the investigation, has been officially published. This follows the initiation of the investigation through a notification.
The list, which has been provided in the Trade Notice, details entities involved in the investigation. These include domestic producers, exporters, importers, users, and relevant associations. The DGTR has requested all listed parties to submit non-confidential versions (NCVs) of their previously filed documents, and any future submissions, to other interested parties. The submissions must be sent via email to the designated addresses, which include both the DGTR and investigation team’s official contacts.
All parties listed must email the non-confidential versions (NCVs) of their submissions to other interested parties. If any party finds discrepancies in the list—such as their details being missing or incorrectly listed—they are requested to inform the DGTR immediately so that necessary updates can be made to ensure the process is fair and inclusive.
The DGTR emphasized that this exchange of NCV submissions is vital to maintaining transparency and ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and able to participate effectively in the investigation process.
The list includes a range of parties including Gujarat Fluorochemicals Ltd. which represents the domestic industry and other stakeholders represent various facets of the PTFE market, including domestic producers, overseas exporters, and users within India.
“Interested parties can reach out to the DGTR team for clarifications or to report discrepancies at the following email addresses: adv13-dgtr@gov.in, consultant-dgtr@govcontractor.in, dd16-dgtr@gov.in and dd12-dgtr@gov.in,” informed Shivam Singh, deputy director, DGTR.
The anti-dumping investigation is expected to provide critical insights into trade practices and ensure fair competition in the Indian PTFE market.
