The cosmetic industry has grown leaps and bounds in the recent years with product formulations becoming increasingly complex and with the frequent introduction of novel ingredients into the market.

The fast-growing personal care, home care and cosmetic segments in India will continue to be fuelled by highly aspirational and young middle-class sector of over 300 million. Speciality chemicals and ingredients form the functional core of products in these segments.

The event promises to be an exciting part of India’s growing personal care market that offers the very best B2B meeting for the personal care and home care industries in the region. According to organisers, nearly 3,000 visitors are expected this year which is a 10-15 per cent increase to the 2015 event.

HPCI-CCC India provides the visitors with the best opportunity to meet suppliers, discuss with peers and experts and participate in free technical seminars. The event will have the largest display of ingredients, technologies and services for the home and cosmetic production in India.

The event sees huge potential in India market as the country’s economy is considered to be the third-largest in the world in terms of purchasing power, and is poised to scale newer peaks in the coming years.

The nation's women cosmetics market is projected to register a CAGR of over 16 per cent during 2015-20. At the same time, men’s grooming is also gaining ground showing double- digit growth rates.

While the personal care markets in some countries are forecast to increase at double-digit rates during the period from 2014-2019, India is forecast to post the strongest growth of almost 13 per cent during the same period.

While herbal products have gained a lot of momentum in the market, growing awareness among men and women about skin care has made natural ingredients products more popular.

ISCC conference-cum-workshop will be highlighting the recent trends in cosmetic sensorials and providing a hands-on demonstration of the various sensory evaluation techniques pertaining to hair, skin, perfume & colour sensory evaluation. Participants at this conference will be given a first-hand experience on the correct sensory evaluation techniques which will enable sound decisions on the product sensorial aspects with regards to product development and assessment.

The conference will commence with the welcome address of ISCC president followed by a series of sessions on topics such as Product Sensorials – Current Global Trends and workshops on skin sensory evaluation, hair sensory evaluation, perfume sensory evaluation and colour sensorials.

HPCI India for the second time will be hosting a workshop on the emerging issues in Europe where three well known experts will be presenting hot topics in the European Union.

While technical seminars by exhibiting companies will be offering insights on product technologies and applications, professionals from leading international brands will be presenting the latest developments and product applications.
