Vitafoods Europe turns 20 years young

This year Vitafoods Europe, international exhibition and congress for the nutraceuticals, cosmeceutical and functional food ingredients industry, turns 20 years young. Over the past two decades Vitafoods Europe has become the most important international event for the global nutraceuticals industry.
This year’s edition will be no different as it is set to be the largest nutrition industry gathering of its kind, offering more exhibitors, conference speakers and visitor attractions than ever before.
Since it was established in 1997, it has evolved to an event at the very cutting edge of the nutrition sector. In this milestone 20th anniversary edition, scheduled to be held at Palexpo, Geneva, Switzerland, from May 10 to 12, 2016, the organisers have added a wide range of new attractions.
The entire nutraceuticals supply chain industry would be participating in the event, covering four key sectors: ingredients & raw materials, contract manufacturing & private label, services & equipment and finished products.
The event will be showcasing ‘What’s new’ in the nutrition industry, including two New Products Zones – one for ingredients and one for finished products. New to this year’s show will be the, Vitafoods Centre Stage, Life Stage Theatre, Optimal Health Testing Centre, Sports Nutrition Zone,Vitafoods Data Centre, Launchpad, Vitafoods Venture Den, Spotlights at the Tasting Bar, Springboard Pavilion and Regulatory Advice Centre.
Vitafoods Centre Stage will provide an industry overview, addressing key issues and highlighting emerging trends of 2016 and beyond. Industry experts will examine sports and nutrition and business growth strategy on day one, the European market and formational technology on day two and regulation within the EU on day three.
Life Stage Theatre is designed around specific nutritional needs that are vital and unique at different stages of a person’s life. There will be targeted sessions based on pregnancy / infant, child, adolescent, adult and healthy ageing.
As regulation is one of the hot topic in the nutrition industry, a new attraction this year will be the Regulatory Advice Centre in association with EAS Strategies, in which visitors will be able to connect one-to-one with experts and discuss the implications of global regulations.
Ingredients & Raw Materials will be showcasing the latest ingredients to meet the health needs of consumers or one can supply ingredients that will give products a competitive edge.
Contract Manufacturers & Private Label will offer brand owners, retailers and manufacturers the opportunity to meet with suppliers to source innovative white-label and private-label products ready for market as well as bespoke products developed by leading contract manufacturers.
Service and Equipment will offer a platform to display a wide range of service and equipment providers, dedicated to the nutraceuticals industry, that help businesses develop products that deliver optimal health.
Finished Products allows visitors to source products that help improve health, wellbeing, physical and mental health, making it a must-attend event.
Covering the four key sectors of the industry, the dedicated event brings together more than 850 of the most innovative global suppliers and 16,500 senior decision-makers who are looking to source nutraceuticals ingredients and raw materials, services and dietary supplements.
