9th Iran Pharma Expo to be held from October 2 to 4 in Tehran

The 9th Iran Pharma Expo, scheduled to be held from October 2 to 4, 2024, at the Grand Musalla of Tehran, is gearing up to be one of the most influential events in the pharmaceutical sector. This global platform will witness the participation of over 600 companies from more than 40 countries, showcasing their latest innovations and breakthroughs in pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, packaging, and related industries.
It has been organized and supported by the Syndicate of Iranian Pharmaceutical Industries, Food & Drug Administration and Rasayesh Institution.
Among the key highlights of this year's event is the India Pavilion, a collaborative effort between the Pharmaceuticals Export Promotion Council of India (Pharmexcil) and Exhibitions & Trade Services India Private Limited (ETSIPL). The India Pavilion will provide a vibrant showcase of India’s burgeoning pharmaceutical sector, bringing forward the country's expertise in drug manufacturing, active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), packaging, herbal products, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical machinery.
Director General (DG) Pharmexcil, K Raja Bhanu informed, “Iran Pharma Expo is one of the largest gatherings of pharmaceutical professionals in the Middle East, creating a unique opportunity for businesses to engage in B2B interactions, explore partnerships, and discuss state-of-the-art products and solutions. For India, this event serves as a gateway to expand its influence and strengthen ties with the Iranian market and neighboring countries.”
As Iran emerges from its post-sanction era, its pharmaceutical industry is experiencing rapid growth, presenting numerous opportunities for international collaboration. The country’s access to low-cost energy, an affordable workforce, and its strategic location as a gateway to Middle Eastern and Central Asian markets make it an attractive destination for business expansion.
“The India Pavilion at Iran Pharma 2024 will highlight the vast potential of Indian pharmaceutical companies and their ability to contribute to global healthcare solutions. Indian participants will have the opportunity to interact with over 45,000 visitors, including industry leaders, manufacturers, and suppliers of pharmaceutical products and machinery,” added DG Raja Bhanu.
The 2023 edition of the event saw a grand turnout, with over 600 exhibitors and 40,000 square meters of exhibition space. Building on that success, this year's event promises to offer a bigger platform for Indian companies to promote their products, forge strategic alliances, and explore business opportunities in the rapidly growing Iranian market.
To facilitate Indian participation, two booth options are available within the India Pavilion. Each booth is fully equipped with essential amenities, including panels, name fascia, carpeting, furniture, lighting, and power sockets.
