The Pharmaceuticals Export Promotion Council of India (Pharmexcil) has announced the opening of online registration for the India Pavilion at CPhI Worldwide 2024 on June 19, 2024. CPhI Worldwide 2024 is set to take place from October 8 to 10 at Fiera Milano, Italy.

This significant event, supported by the Union ministry of commerce, Government of India (GoI), will feature India's pharmaceutical industry prominently in two separate locations.

Pharmexcil director general (DG) Uday Bhaskar highlighted the efforts to enhance the India Pavilion. "We are making conscious efforts to scale up the look and feel of the India Pavilion and the branding of Indian pharma at strategic locations at the venue," he said.

The India Pavilion will be in Hall 1.0 (API) and Hall 10.0 (FDF). These locations have been chosen to provide the best possible opportunities for companies dealing with formulations and bulk drugs. The pavilion will include specially designed wooden stands with complete branding images, giving it a unique identity. Additionally, there will be increased digital and show daily coverage, ensuring more visibility for exhibitors in the India Pavilion during the event.

To streamline the stall booking process, Pharmexcil has introduced an online reservation system. "With a view to make the allotment procedure easy and transparent, we made the reservation of stalls online," Bhaskar explained. The link for registration will become active on June 19, 2024, at 2:30 pm, allowing all members to reserve their preferred stalls simultaneously.

The cost for a made-up stall for Pharmexcil members will be Rs. 1,00,000 per square meter (corner stand Rs. 1,01,000 per square meter). Members are required to make full payment before June 28, 2024. If payment is not received by this date, the stall will be allotted to members on the waiting list without any notice. There will be no refunds for cancellations after booking. All stalls are furnished with minimum furniture, and the charges include all amenities such as furniture, insurance, stand cleaning, and digital product directory fees. The cost of stalls will be subsidised as the Pharmexcil proposal is under consideration for the MAI scheme.

Under the MAI scheme, participants can avail of reimbursement of 50% of economy class airfare for one person, up to a maximum of Rs. 90,000 per company, subject to approval by the Empowered Committee for the MAI grant. This support is available to directors, partners, proprietors, and senior managers.

“Interested members can view the overall floor plan of the India Pavilion and make their reservations through the provided link on the Pharmexcil website. This initiative aims to ensure a fair and efficient allocation process, giving every participant an equal opportunity to secure their spot at this prestigious event,” according to Pharmexcil DG.
