9th edition of ‘Pharmac South’ to be held at Chennai Trade Centre at Guindy from May 24 to 25

The Tamil Nadu state branch of the Indian Drug Manufacturers Association (TN IDMA) has started preparations to host the 9th edition of the ‘Pharmac South’, the biggest Pharmaceutical Exhibition and B2B Meetings in South India.
The two-day event will be held at the Chennai Trade Centre at Guindy from May 24 to 25.
Unlike previous years, this year the event has been scheduled to be conducted in May because of the Indian Pharmaceutical Congress planned to be held in Hyderabad in the month of July.
Briefing Pharmabiz, the chairman of the IDMA TN, Pondicherry, AP, Karnataka and Kerala state board, J Jayaseelan, said the Principal Health Secretary of Tamil Nadu government, Gagandeep Singh Bedi, has given his consent to inaugurate the function on 24th morning.
In the expo, more than 200 stalls will be set up to showcase the machineries and products of the exhibitors participating from across the country. From novel manufacturing processes to advanced packaging solutions, there will be a wide array of innovations in the display, he said.
On the same day, the post-lunch session will be dedicated to a motivational speech for the entrepreneurs and the speaker is the renowned spiritual leader Aasaanji. The new age Guru will speak on the subject, ’Success unstoppable’.
The program is organized by TN IDMA in association with Orbit Exhibitors in Mumbai, and supported by the Pharmaceuticals Export Promotion Council of India.
It is expected that this year’s Pharmac South will showcase innovations in pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, medical devices and pharma technology by a large group of big-name brands. More than 750 potential customers and over five thousand visitors are also expected. Alongside, a separate area will be set aside for displaying Ayush products by popular companies from various states in India.
IDMA hopes that they can bring together the potential customers and buyers from all over India to the Guindy CTC where the exhibition is conducted from the beginning. Apart from the show, there will be meaningful discussions on business to business dealings and various issues based seminars will be conducted as part of the show. The MSMEs and the emerging startups in south India can explore opportunities for growth and enhance their industry knowledge by participating in seminars and interactive sessions (B2B) to be conducted as part of the event.
