Our 2023 Mid-Year Cybersecurity Threat Report also reveals that globally, the healthcare sector ranks sixth in malware attacks, with India at the forefront.”
Recent incidents, such as the AIIMS cyber attack, CoWin data breach, and Safdarjung Hospital hack, underscore the need to transition from a product-centric to a unified cybersecurity approach for effective cyber risk management across organizations, Katiyar told Pharmabiz.

As Unichem partnered with Trend Micro, the latter noted that its efforts which played a pivotal role in containing and mitigating the incident. It provided the pharma major with solutions powered by a cybersecurity platform application and complete after sales service. This included implementation of Trend Micro Apex One and Trend Vision One and Trend Vision One Workload security to fortify the company’s endpoints and cloud workloads.
“We evaluated multiple vendors but Trend Micro won us over with their industry-leading platform. The company’s security solutions helped us to ensure business continuity but also significantly enhance our threat hunting capabilities,” said M Kumaresan, CIO, Unichem Laboratories.
Particularly with Trend Vision One, Unichem said that it gained central visibility and control to prioritize cyber risks and bolster their defence posture.
