The Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR) under the Union ministry of commerce & industry has scheduled an oral hearing regarding the ongoing anti-dumping investigation on imports of ‘Titanium Dioxide’ originating from or exported by China. The hearing is set to take place on October 29, 2024 at 3:00 PM IST in DGTR's conference hall, located on the 4th floor of Jeevan Tara Building, New Delhi.
From the protection of active ingredients to improving patient management of medications, titanium dioxide (TiO2) plays an essential role at all stages of a pharmaceutical product's lifecycle.
In addition to in-person attendance, DGTR has made provisions for interested parties to participate through digital video conferencing (DVC). Registered parties will receive a web link and other technical details for joining the online hearing via email. Any interested party facing difficulties with connectivity can reach out to Asif, the designated technical contact, at +91 9509079786.
To participate, registered parties must submit relevant details, including the name of their organization, contact information, and preferred mode of attendance. A list of eligible interested parties is accessible on the DGTR’s official website.
Post-hearing, participants are expected to provide written submissions in both confidential and non-confidential formats. Submissions should be sent to the designated email addresses of DGTR officials and circulated among other registered parties to ensure transparency. For any additional queries, participants may contact deputy director, Shivam Singh at dd12-dgtr@gov.in or call 011-23408708.
The anti-dumping investigation aims to address potential economic harm caused by titanium dioxide imports from China, with outcomes potentially impacting Indian manufacturers, importers, and associated industries.
