East India’s mega pharma & machinery expo to be held in Ranchi, Jharkhand from Aug 26 to 27

Jharkhand, the ‘Land of Forest’, will witness the largest pharmaceutical and machinery exhibition of the eastern part of the country on 26 and 27 of this month. The event will be held at the Khelgaon Stadium in Ranchi, capital of Jharkhand.
The two-day B2B event, the first of its kind being organized in the eastern part, is christened as ‘Indian Pharma Fair (IFF) 2022’, which will offer opportunities for manufacturers, contract manufacturers and marketers to showcase their products and services. The organizers of the eastern pharma trade fair expect ten thousand visitors from over 15 states. According to them, the expo will focus on the latest trends and innovations in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors.
New Delhi based Vedshiv Business Media is the organizer of the event. The media representative said the IFF 2022 is the seventh edition in the series and they are mainly focusing on the eastern and north eastern parts of India.
Briefing Pharmabiz about the expo, Shivam Sharma, business head of the exhibition organizing company said the registration of exhibitors is progressing, but over one hundred stalls have been booked by manufacturers, contract manufacturers and marketers of pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, cosmetics, ayurvedic and herbal medicines and pharmaceutical machinery and technologies. He said since the eastern part of the country lacks manufacturing companies, marketing companies and contract manufacturers of generic drugs from the north eastern states, West Bengal, Odisha, Bihar, Chattisgarh and Uttar Pradesh are participating in addition to the host state in the event to display their products.
According to him, the B2B meetings to be organized in the event will help promote the products and brands of all companies in support of their business. The government of Jharkhand is providing all support to host such a big programme in the state capital. He said they are waiting for confirmation from the chief minister to inaugurate the exhibition in the morning of August 26.
Suman Tiwari, deputy drugs controller at the department of drugs control who acts as the facilitator of the event from government side, said the development commissioner and additional chief secretary of health and family welfare Arun Kumar Singh is likely to attend the inaugural function as ‘guest of honour’. He said this mega pharmaceutical expo will attract manufacturing companies from the west, north and south and all facilities will be provided to them to develop their business in Jharkhand. He said the government of the state is going ahead with a project to set up one Pharma Park in Jharkhand for which support from industries in other states is solicited. The IFF 2022 will facilitate leading manufacturers to connect with thousands of buyers from across Jharkhand and other states.
Shekhar Wagh, the media head of the organizing company has informed Pharmabiz that this exhibition will support the government’s initiative to develop the pharmaceutical sector of Jharkhand as well as to boost the pharma trade in the eastern part. All the stakeholders in pharmacy will come to a common platform for mutual interaction for increasing business and for knowledge sharing. The show will display the country’s pharma strength through the two days expo which is expected to attract more than 10,000 visitors from the entire east and northern part of India.
As part of the event, two scientific and business seminars will also be conducted in which experts in pharma policy, trade, industry and academia will participate. Further this pharma trade show will be a great opportunity for the students and teachers of pharmacy institutions to see and learn about various pharmaceutical products and machineries used in the industry.
