The Indian Medical Association (IMA) has appreciated the Union Ayush Ministry’s action against false claims by manufacturers of unapproved medicines claiming efficacy for COVID-19 under the name of Ayush.

IMA stated that the administrative regulation on safety of medicines of all systems including Ayush has to be implemented meticulously as COVID-19 is of great concern to every human being.

"Drugs, vaccines and laboratory tests in this regard have to be diligently evaluated. Fly by night operators should not be allowed to take the patients to a ransom.
