Indian pharma presents an appealing proposition. A strong talent pool, extensive technological and manufacturing competence, regulatory maturity, and a mature chemical industry, stated Sameer Hiremath, vice chairman & MD, Hikal Limited.
Following the epidemic and in the midst of geopolitical upheavals, global companies are reevaluating their sourcing strategy. Enquiries and deeper engagements from international clients seeking to diversify and de-risk their businesses are on the rise at Hikal. This change demonstrates India's increasing acceptance as a location for manufacturing driven by technology, he noted.
