Medix Global, a leading provider of innovative healthcare management solutions, stated that it is planning to expand footprint by opening additional offices in India and will be launching additional digital health services including prevention services, personal medical case management and elderly focused care solutions, an interactive Medix Healthcare app specifically focused on the Indian market.
The company is also looking to invest $20-30 million in innovative local health tech start-ups through Medix Ventures, a venture capital fund of the Medix Group.
The company stated that it is currently in talks with some of the largest corporates and insurance providers to connect with patients in India.
The company added that it has a global quality accredited network of over 4,000 specialists and 2,000 leading hospitals, besides 300 plus in-house doctors alongside nurses, medical admin and research teams.
"We have established our first office in Mumbai in June last year and are looking forward to working with partners and different stakeholders in the eco-system. We are closely following the recent announcements and plans from both a central and state level in India focusing on digitalisation of the healthcare sector in India which is very much aligned with our service offering and activities. Digital platforms like MyGovSaathi, AaroygaSetu and CoWIN are supporting information dissemination, contact tracing and vaccination efforts. Communities have used social platforms to support each other, while healthcare providers have scaled up virtual services to keep pace with the demand for diagnosis and remote care.”
Medix’s footprint in APAC includes offices in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Melbourne and most recently in Mumbai as well in addition to offices in London, Munich, New York and Tel Aviv.
