The 11th edition of Chemspec India, a dedicated event for the fine, custom and speciality chemical industry, will be held in Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai, on April 16 and 17, 2015.

Chemspec India 2015, the show that has evolved as the Indian chemical hub over the years,  will be a definite event for buyers and suppliers in the chemical market. Since 2005, the show has continued to develop and reinforce itself as the must-attend event for the Indian fine, custom and speciality chemicals community.

While India offers growth potential from a business perspective to international companies through its rapidly developing markets and infrastructure projects, the show offers a great business development platform, connecting key buyers and sellers from the domestic and international chemicals market with total trade attendance exceeding the 10,000 mark last year. With two concurrent events, ChemProTech and ChemLogistics, the show will penetrate into process technology, equipment, warehousing, transport and logistics of chemical industry.

One of the key aspects of the show is meeting and networking opportunities with existing and potential partners and business facilitators within the expanding chemical sector that it offers, according to Rohit Pande, project head, Chemspec India.

Jayesh Shah, managing director, Adinath Petrochems, said, “We are very proud that we are part of Chemspec India as this is the event which is professionally organised and a very well managed event. We are satisfied with whatever investment we have made in Chemspec India for the second year consecutively and we look forward to be a part of the show every year.”

Pulkit Goenka, director, Advance Petrochemicals, said, “With reference to our participation in Chemspec India 14 as an exhibitor, it was our third time in a row as an exhibitor this year. Even we found that being exhibitor at Chemspec India not only gives you business but it also increases your goodwill in the market. Mumbai being the hub of chemical industries we believe that exhibition in Mumbai is a major plus point. And it usually is held at the starting of financial year, which gives us projection of future business.”

Deepak Deshmukh, commercial manager, Aditya Birla Group – Chemicals, said, “We at Aditya Birla Chemicals, India participated in this event for the first time. Our experience was fantastic on all arrangements—be it infrastructure, our meetings and planning and the execution of the whole event. The response was really very good and overwhelming. We look forward to participating every year at Chemspec India show.”

Indian Specialty Chemical Market
The chemical industry in India is expected to have high growth in the coming years. India’s population has grown nearly as large as that of China, with its consuming middle-class accounting for about a third of its population. Key end-user industries such as construction, automotive, packaging, and electronics are expected to drive demand immensely. Construction is likely to grow at 12 per cent, packaging and electronics at around 13 per cent, rendering a promising growth of over 12 per cent to the chemicals demand. Regulatory compliances and sustainable practices will also aid the Indian industry to become a key-manufacturing hub for chemicals on the global map in the future. Indigenous innovation will play an important role in making the industry competitive vis-à-vis international companies.

The Indian chemicals industry, which earned revenues in the range of $155-160 billion in 2013, is likely to grow at a rate of 11-12 per cent in the next two to three years. Owing to reduced industrial output, commodity and bulk chemicals are likely to experience slow growth, while the specialty chemicals segment is expected to show considerable growth.

Industrial experts assess that an industry with such a high growth rate of consumer needs, which leads to higher consumption of chemicals, would call in for the demand of not only high-end chemical process equipment but also requirement of innovations and opportunities for new players in the market.

Each year, this event brings players across the speciality chemicals value chain and across continents under a single roof, drawing many visitors and customers from different chemical sub-groups to discuss trade propositions and foster association with Indian chemical manufacturers and traders.

Chemspec India 2014 concluded on a highly positive and optimistic note. Attendees from exhibitors and visitors participated with a sense of satisfaction at having met their business objectives, with some closing business deals at the venue and others extending leads to procurement of raw materials from different markets.

The show is the only dedicated event in India for custom, fine and speciality chemicals professionals and stage end-users from biotechnology, colours & dyestuffs, crop protection & agrochemicals, contract & toll manufacture, cosmetics, healthcare, pharmaceutical, water treatment, and process instrumentation & automation.

The show aims to connect buyers, manufacturers, suppliers, distributors and end-users from a wealth of chemical-related products and service sectors. Exhibitors at Chemspec India can enjoy advantages such as to reach thousands of visitors from India, the wider region and the rest of the world, find new distribution channels, strengthen position in the competitive domestic market, investigate the regional market for new products and services, develop overseas business, and raise company’s international profile. Visitors can enjoy a snapshot of the key players in both the regional and overseas supplier markets, latest information on new and innovative chemical products for new and developing markets, an update on company developments and key industry trends, latest information on important industry aspects.

Conferences, Lecture, Theatres, Forums, Workshops in 2015
The show continues to evolve and offer greater value to its visitors and exhibitors. This year’s edition will see the return of quality conferences and workshops, including Scientific Update, Agrochemical Forum and the Annual Chemical Weekly Business Outlook, taking place from April 14-15, 2015.
