PCHi 2015, a leading personal care and cosmetics trade show, is scheduled to take place from March 12-14, 2015, at Guangzhou Poly World Trade Centre, Guangzhou, China.

Elynn Xu, project manager, Reed Sinopharm Exhibitions, explains, “As an innovation-led platform, PCHi 2015 will continue to showcase several of our event specialities, as well as debut new activities to enhance the PCHi experience for our domestic and international visitors who have travelled far and wide to attend our show.“

At the show, visitors will have access to PCHi 2015 Conference Programme, the New Products Showcase, and the Packaging Innovation Zone. “This year, we will also launch new initiatives like the PCHi Packaging Products Showcase, and include new conference topics such as New Label Technology, and Cosmetic Testing Technology. In addition, the perennial Rules & Regulations conference has been expanded to include regulations from Europe and other Asia countries to meet the needs of suppliers and buyers at PCHi 2015,” said Xu.

“We will also be launching the PCHi app onsite, a handy supplement developed to equip users with show information at the tip of their fingers. In finalising the event line-up, we made sure to consider the needs and expectations of our visitors and exhibitors. PCHi 2015 is the fruit of our labour and we are excited to hear feedback about this edition.”

Top 3 show feature areas
“All show activities have been meticulously planned to ensure continual visitor engagement over the three days, so we urge show participants to take part in each event for a complete PCHi experience. However, if time is of concern, visitors can sit in at the New Technology Sessions (NTS) to gain inspiration for product formulations, and fit in a session at the engaging PCHi 2015 Conference Programme to meet with industry experts from the different fields including Rules & Regulations, Formulation, and Packaging. Conference attendees can also take the opportunity to mingle with representatives from domestic and multinational companies such as Beckhoff, Johnson & Johnson, L’Oreal, Kao, Shiseido, Amore, Shanghai Jiahua, Hanshu, Pechoin and several others.”

“If time permits, consider stopping by platforms such as the Packaging Innovation Zone, Packaging Products Showcase, and the New Products Showcase to check out the latest technology on the market. PCHi 2015 will occupy an impressive total floor area of 25,000 sqm, so depending on how much time visitors have planned for at the show, I recommend planning a walking route in order to get the most out of each visit.”

Visitor Guide helps in identifying interesting features. It allows visitors to customise their show schedule to avoid conflicting activities and timings. The show will have several sitting areas where visitors can enjoy short coffee breaks, have access to complimentary Wi-Fi, and even charge their mobile devices at the show.

Packaging segment
Through previously conducted visitor surveys and marketing research, organisers recognised the important roles that packaging, testing, and machinery play in the personal and homecare industry. Hene, to provide visitors with more industry-specific knowledge, the fair will showcase an expanded focus on packaging, testing, and machinery through several activities.

For the first time, the PCHi 2015 Conference Programme will include a packaging conference track with 3 packaging themes to cater to cosmetics packaging designers and formulation scientists. The three themes will cover the broad topics of “Sustainable Development and Innovative Packaging Conference”, “Label New Technology Conference”, and “Packaging Design and Innovation Trend Conference”. “To ensure the success of the packaging track, we partnered with several industry heavyweights including Shang Hai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai Jahwa United Co., Ltd, Packaging Update, Edoo International Media, Packaging Digest, and the Printing Equipment Industries Association of China (PEIAC) to share and discuss content that will best resonate with the audience.”

Further, Packaging Products Showcase will highlight the latest in cosmetics packaging design and materials. The Packaging Innovation Zone – a collaborative project with leading research firm, Mintel – will return to PCHi again to feature the latest packaging design trends, manufacturing technologies, and packaging material innovations for the cosmetics and personal care markets.

To date, more than 1,000 packaging professionals including packaging designers, packing production directors, marketing and packaging managers have signed up to attend the show. “We believe that the expanded activity around packaging will bring greater value and benefit to the global packaging audience, and encourage visitors to view PCHi as an essential hub for cosmetics and personal care information and technology. “
