ISPOR, RIPER to hold national seminar on ‘Pragmatic View on Pharmacovigilance & Therapeutic Outcome' on May 5

The Andhra Pradesh chapter of the International Society for
Pharmacoeconomics and Outcome Research (ISPOR) and the Raghavendra
Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research (RIPER) are jointly
organizing a national level seminar on Pragmatic View on
Pharmacovigilance and Therapeutic Outcome at the Institute at Anandapur
on May 5.
ISPOR promotes the science of pharmacoeconomics (health
economics) and outcomes research, the scientific discipline that
evaluates the effect of health care interventions on patient well-being.
It includes clinical, economic, and patient-centred outcomes, and
facilitates the translation of this research into useful information for
health care decision makers to increase the efficiency, effectiveness,
and fairness of health care to improve health. The society has over 7300
members in 105 countries.
Dr V Kalaiselvan, principal scientific
officer for the Pharmacovigilance Programme of India (PvPI) at the
Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission, will deliver the key note address.
Ganesan Ramakrishnan, senior drug safety manager at Oviya Medsafe at
Coimbatore will speak on Pharmacovigilance programme of India.
A panel discussion will be held in the afternoon session.
