Homoeopathy Vijnana Sammelan deliberates on ways to promote homeopathy as a single remedy for multiple complaints

Homoeopathy Vijanana Sammelan, the first round of gatherings of eminent homoeopaths in India, organized in Hyderabad on April 9, deliberated on a varied spectrum of issues and challenges being faced by the homoeo treatment system in India and globally. The meeting was conducted as part of a series of conferences being planned by the organizers of the World Homoeopathy Summit (WHS) to be held in Kolkata next year. The WHS 2024 will be organized by the Global Homeopathy Foundation (GHF) in association with Vijnana Bharati, a national science movement of Indian sciences.
The stalwarts of Homoeopathy who assembled in Hyderabad on April 9 contemplated, inter alia, on the scope of homoeopathic remedies in curing and preventing the oft-repeated infectious diseases and promoting the system of treatment in the national health delivery for good health, prevention of diseases and as a single remedy for multiple complaints of the mankind. More discussions and deliberations will be held at the five-day international conference-cum-exhibition in Kolkata next year. The senior researchers in the system who participated in the Vijnana Sammelan have pondered over the necessity of new innovations and advancements in homoeopathic treatments with development of veterinary medicines and agro-care substances. According to them homeopathy is a solution for several health challenges of the modern days like the antimicrobial resistances (AMR) which is one of the greatest concerns of the WHO and the medical communities worldwide. They felt that the strength of homoeopathy in preventing and curing various diseases need to be highlighted among the scientific community as well as among the general public. The practitioners attended the meeting made suggestions for developing ‘homeoceuticals’ to address lifestyle disorders and highlighted the possibility of developing a homeopathic vaccine for viral and bacterial infections.
Sources from the organizing committee informed Pharmabiz that the state committees of homoeopathic doctors in different states will organize scientific conferences on the lines of the Homeopathy Vijanana Sammelan in each state prior to the International conference of next year. The international conference is planned in such a way to accommodate 6000 homeopaths from 82 countries in the world. The conference will be the biggest ever mega event hosted so far in honour of Homoeopathy in any country. The five-day programme will have an Expo which will showcase homeopathic medicines, raw materials and other homoeopathic products for health and wellness by different companies from across the world. The organizers expect regulatory people of Traditional Complementary Alternative Medicines (TCAM) from 100 countries to the conference-cum-expo. The event will be the first of its kind programme to be organized in India. The Vijnana Sammelan was inaugurated by the Governor of Telangana, Dr. Thamizhisai Soundararajan who spoke on the non-invasive side of the homeopathic remedies. Governor, who is also a gynecologist, said homeopathic medicines are safe, cost-effective and they treat the root cause of the diseases. She said there is a need for integrating various treatment systems to provide for the best possible cure for the emerging diseases and emphasized that no medical system can solve all the healthcare needs of the people and meet the challenges. Dr. S Chandrasekhar, secretary of the Department of Science and Technology, New Delhi, was the chief guest at the function. He highlighted the opportunities for scientists to conduct research on the fundamentals of homeopathy by utilizing the facilities of the institutions under the DST. Dr Naveen Pawaskar of JIMS, Dr. Vinu Krishnan and Dr. Reji Kumar from Kerala, Dr. Raj Sanghvi from Chennai, Dr. Pachegaonkar from Aurobindo Ashram in Puducherry, Dr. Anita Patil from Bharati Vidyapeeth in Pune and Dr.Purnima Sukla from New Delhi were other eminent speakers.
