In a major push to enhance India’s pharmaceutical exports, the Pharmaceuticals Export Promotion Council of India (Pharmexcil) has announced an extensive schedule of business delegations for the financial year 2025–26. These delegations, aimed at strengthening trade relations and exploring new markets, will cover key regions across Africa, Latin America & Caribbean (LAC), ASEAN, and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
As part of its export promotion activities, Pharmexcil will facilitate Business-to-Business (B2B) meetings, interactions with trade associations, and consultations with Ministries of Health and national regulatory authorities, including FDA counterparts in respective countries.
The first round of the Business Summit Meetings (BSMs) will be held across the Africa and West Asia–North Africa (WANA) region under the coordination of Kamal Kishore Bhardwaj, Director, New Delhi, (Coordinator), Pharmexcil. The delegation will visit Egypt, Algeria and Morocco between January 12 and 20, 2026.
These visits are designed to strengthen India’s footprint in North Africa’s growing pharmaceutical markets and to facilitate partnerships with local manufacturers, distributors, and regulators.
Following the Africa mission, Pharmexcil will lead delegations to the Latin America & Caribbean (LAC) region between February 02 and 12, 2026. The delegation will visit Chile, Peru), Guatemala, and Colombia.
The focus will be on holding meetings with trade associations, the Ministry of Health, and national FDA representatives to deepen regulatory cooperation and identify export opportunities for Indian pharma companies.
A separate business mission coordinated by S Murali Krishna, Director, Hyderabad, (Coordinator), Pharmexcil is scheduled between March 2 and 13, 2026. The delegation will visit major ASEAN markets including Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia and Myanmar.
This initiative seeks to strengthen India’s position in Southeast Asia’s expanding generic and healthcare product markets.
To further consolidate India’s trade presence in Eurasia, Pharmexcil has planned a BSM series in the CIS region, coordinated by Rollins John, Director, Mumbai, (Coordinator), Pharmexcil. The programme will take place between March 17 and 27, 2026, covering Belarus, Kyrgyzstan & Kazakhstan, Georgia, Russia and Uzbekistan.
The delegation aims to foster collaboration in pharmaceuticals, biologicals, and healthcare innovations, expanding India’s market access in the CIS bloc.
“Members are aware that the Business delegations are generally planned during all the quarters, however we had to schedule the delegations during last quarter for the FY due to our preparations for iPHEX – 2025 in New Delhi, consent from the Missions and also in some expectation of support/advisory from the Government. Member companies are requested accordingly to plan their visits for the Business Delegations,” informed Raja Bhanu, Director General (DG), Pharmexcil.
“Pharmexcil’s 2025–26 international delegation schedule reflects India’s commitment to deepening global engagement and promoting the nation’s pharmaceutical capabilities. By engaging directly with stakeholders in emerging markets, the Council aims to build sustainable export partnerships and contribute to India’s vision of becoming a global hub for affordable and quality medicines,” Pharmexcil DG concluded.
